Congressman Zeldin Second Amendment Fact Sheet
LEE ZELDIN ON THE ISSUES
Congressman Lee Zeldin, an A Rated, lifetime NRA Member, believes that we should:
- Repeal the unconstitutional SAFE Act (when Congressman Zeldin was a State Senator, he was a fierce opponent of the SAFE Act, spoke at Pro-2A rallies, and co-sponsored legislation to repeal the SAFE Act);
- Support the New York State Rifle and Pistol Association (NYSRPA) case before the Supreme Court challenging New York’s concealed carry law (Congressman Zeldin is a signer of the amicus brief in favor of the NYSRPA’s lawsuit);
- Make New York a “shall issue” state instead of “may issue”;
- Oppose the microstamping legislation in Albany as microstamping is ineffective and is easily defeated with household tools;
- Support Stand Your Ground principle;
- Oppose Red Flag Laws that target law-abiding citizens.
